Groups
How and why to group windows for organization and real shop workflow.
What groups are for
- Keep rooms, elevations, and phases organized.
- Help the installer stay on track without hunting through a giant list.
- Make it easy to split big jobs into smaller runs.
Good group patterns
- By location: Kitchen, Living room, Lobby, Office 201
- By elevation: North, South, Storefront
- By phase: Day 1, Day 2, Touch-ups
How groups affect credits
Groups themselves don't "cost extra." Credits are tied to job input changes (windows/dimensions/quantity). If you change grouping without changing window inputs, you should still be working within the same credit for that job.
When to avoid groups
If it's a small job and you're cutting everything in one run, groups can be unnecessary. Keep it simple.
