Scopes

Keep one customer project together while separating the parts that need their own film, pricing, photos, or cut plan.

What a scope does

A scope is a planning section inside a Shop project. Use scopes when a job needs to be divided by floor, elevation, film, crew, phase, install day, or another production boundary.

What stays with each scope

  • Windows, quantities, and groups
  • Selected film and roll-planning settings
  • Scope pricing and Job Photos
  • The saved cut plan and production details

What stays shared

The complete project and customer relationship stay together. This gives the shop one job record while each scope remains practical for estimating, planning, and production.

Recommended workflow

  1. Create the project and add the customer details.
  2. Create scopes using names the estimator and crew will recognize.
  3. Add or move windows into the correct scope.
  4. Select the film, confirm pricing, attach photos, and save a cut plan for each scope.
  5. Review combined project and production outputs before sharing or handing off the job.

Scopes are different from window groups. Groups organize windows inside a scope; scopes separate planning, pricing, film, and production contexts inside the project.

Availability

Scopes are included with Shop and are not included in the one-job demo. Demo accounts use the core Solo and Flex optimization workflow without Shop project features or settings.
