Location and pin controls
Sun Map uses the job location or manually adjusted coordinates. It displays satellite imagery, lets the user adjust the job pin, and saves the adjusted pin with the job.
Sun-path controls and results
Select a month and facing direction. Sun Map displays the monthly sun path, sunrise, solar noon, sunset, peak solar elevation, direction, and facing match.
Where it can appear
Sun Map can be used as job context and can appear as estimate context where supported.
Important boundary
Sun Map is an exposure-awareness and presentation aid. It is not:
- Thermal engineering or glass-risk analysis
- Film-to-glass compatibility analysis
- Energy modeling
- An automated film recommendation
- A substitute for current manufacturer guidance or a site assessment
Availability
Sun Map is included with Shop and is optional. Core cut planning does not require it.
